The artist is Lawrence Argent. It is 40 feet tall. There were no issues other than the same issues you have every time you install something big. The bear does not “rest” on the building; it sets on the ground where all of its weight is dispersed.

Most people love the bear and little replicas are sold all over downtown.

What is the name of the artist who created the blue bear looking into the convention center in downtown Denver? Also how tall is it and how wide is it? What is it made out of and what kind of paint was used? What year was it made? ALSO WAS THERE ANY ISSUES INVOLVED WITH INSTALLING THE BLUE BEAR? What is the over all feelings of the bear?

Funtastic Fun was a very successful indoor kids amusement park for 30 years, beating out Club Disney, Discovery Zomes, Jungle Jim’s Playlands, and about 10 other indoor facilites that failed. I am very proud of the “HUNDREDS” of charities I’ve supported and will continue to support, the hundreds of great teen workers that enjoyed their jobs, and serving the folks of Colorado. We had to leave “engle “hood” for many reasons. From the Engle “hood” Po P hassling me,(that’s police for locals) to the “STUPID” city government employees who don’t have a brain or direction. None of my suggestions went answered. From “linking” Broadway to the City Centre corridor (it’s two separate entities)and the forcing of the BID tax. I paid $3400.00 per year, everyone else $500 based on square footage. We should all have shared the “advertising/upkeep costs fairly.
In the meantime, we we’re SICK of Engle “hood,” the proliferation of Marijuana stores, and the total lack of cooperation between the businesses and the Po Po!
We will NEVER return to that ghetto, and you shouldn’t either. No more graffiti, broken windows, meth houses, crack whores. We “dumped” our real estate and moved down south to an obvious Family atmosphere inside Family Sports Center and we’re now Lollipop Park.
Great move, great people, great neighborhoods.
